SR Architects secured planning consent for the design of new side and rear extensions to a 1980’s semi-detached property in this North Wiltshire village.  The property sits within a fairly dense development of similar units adjacent to the local doctors’ surgery.  Although the design has increased the living accommodation significantly, the impact on the neighbouring properties has been fairly minimal.

An additional floor level with a cantilevered floor/window bay to the side has been designed to sit above the property's existing side garage adding a new master bedroom and ensuite to the property. Additionally, an existing glazed conservatory to the rear will be removed to build out a larger ground level extension to create an open-plan kitchen/dining/ family area.

Construction of this project is expected in 2010.
