Chipping Norton Surgery

SR Architects had initially been appointed to this ongoing project to replace the existing White House Surgery on a new site in the historical centre of Chipping Norton. 

Subsequently, accommodation for the West Street Surgery practice was added to the brief as well as a newer site location further from the more sensitive central context.  As such, the scope and design complexity have increased significantly.

Now SR Architects, with their client, are trying to achieve a scheme that responds to each practice’s particular clinical requirements as well as trying to realize some efficiencies of shared accommodation.  Ultimately, the scheme aims to create a new combined community surgery of sustainable, contemporary quality that respects the scale and context of it surroundings whilst providing for the complex clinical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s medical practice delivery.
