Jem Kile

Senior Designer

Jem has been working in the architectural field for over 15 years.  He joined SR Architects as an Architectural Assistant in 2005 having emigrated from the US. Since joining the firm he has been engaged in nearly all of the firm’s projects including the Aldershot Centre for Health, completed in 2008, a private health clinic in Guildford, Surrey, a hospice in Torquay, Devon, and a development of 22 flats in Chippenham as well as various residential projects.  Jem is seeking licensure here in the UK, hoping to complete the process in the near future.

Prior to joining SR Architects, Jem pursued his education and training in Boston, USA at the Boston Architectural Center and with Stull and Lee, Incorporated, a nationally-recognized general practice architectural and planning firm.  He has played key roles in the design and construction management of urban public transportation facilities, multi-family residential developments, commercial and educational/institutional projects including a university residential and cultural facility. The experience gained during his career has shaped his values with respect to architecture – its ability to transform and define positively our experiences in the world we share with one another.
